The Masters of Photography – Behind the scenes of the Rankin Edition from The Macallan on Vimeo.

This is a couple years old, but I just came across it. A lovely collaborative project between Macallan Whisky and the photographer Rankin. Macallan seems to have a appreciation for photography and part of their marketing program includes The Masters of Photography series. This particular collaboration involved Rankin shooting 1000 polaroids of the Macallan estate. Those original polaroids were then packaged in special edition 30 year old bottle/box sets. While this isn’t a mainstream execution with the sets commanding near $2k, I love this project. Exactly the way it is.

A friend of mine is working on a Denver graffiti documentary project. She is working lo-fi and doing the whole thing with Holgas and such. What I love the most is her titling that is born of  intense introspection drawing from an impressive understanding of art history and biological science. This one is named after my favorite mischevious fence jumping creature.

Stumbled across this site the other day. I’m full on guilty of housing folders of porn on my computer now. Bike porn. Are these just gorgeous creatures or what? And yes, I do want to motor around Denmark on one of these. Immediately please.

Strayed from the girls room to check out the boys room art…looks like I need to expand my project out a bit.

This guys work is borderline too steampunk for me..but I absolutely love and respect what he is doing. Crafting what he loves with his hands. Merging his artwork with his passion on wheels. Good stuff. This video is outstanding.

Protect your head

A tad on the long side but really a pretty strong effort, super clever. Loving the soundtrack too, which is also mixed by the artist Karim Rejib

boys

No idea who these boys are. But they asked me to photograph them and I obliged.
