Just got back from a fun girls weekend in Crested Butte. My first time there in the winter. Had a great time..and may add another post or two about it..but today’s entry is about The Dogwood Cocktail Cabin. Slightly off the main street this remodeled miners cabin has been transformed into a pretty comfortable and aesthetically pleasing little hang out for a cocktail or two. It wasn’t a surprise when I heard this place is run by a couple Portland’ites. Totally had that vibe, which is probably why I liked it so much.

Just needed a fireplace and a few comfy chairs and I might have parked there for good.

Holy cow do I love this office treatment. Story is an agency needed a low cost solution for outfitting a new space that they weren’t going to be in any longer than 2 years. Solution..thrift stores, existing furniture and the Dutch version of eBay..and an environmentally friendly spray paint called Polyurea.

Super Sweet. Yep. Super Sweet.

I love all companies that try and do something with left over scraps or that repurpose other materials. There is an abundance of already manufactured parts and wholes that just head off to the hills to create toxic leaching and landfill gas emissions when they could instead be the centerpiece of your living room..or the bag on your arm.

Here is another company..this one in Bangkok, that is worth taking a look..
